Since 2006, Ben has actively managed relationships with housing developers across the U.S. while providing debt and equity solutions in concert with various federal and state funding programs. As executive director with Bonneville Multifamily Capital, he originates debt solutions for affordable housing developers, primarily utilizing the USDA’s Rural Development and HUD programs, as well as private placement life insurance company lending. Ben also provides leadership and management of the underwriting and closing process. Prior to joining Bonneville, Ben was the VP of LIHTC equity production for both Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing and The National Development Council, as well as a VP within Key Bank’s Community Development Lending group. He has been directly involved in the origination, underwriting, and closing of over $1 billion in LIHTC equity investments and debt products.
He earned an MBA from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s in real estate finance from The University of Utah. He is a licensed Utah real estate agent and serves on the board of directors for OCARH (Ohio). He currently resides in Ohio with his wife, 3 children, and his furry best friend Harvey - the family goldendoodle. He enjoys all things outdoors, especially mountain sports, is a music lover of all genres, and is a massive college football fan who travels often to see great matchups.
